Facing Another Season

Facing Another Season

It says a lot about a person who can say goodbye to the past without any regret and look into the future not knowing what it holds. Every season of life brings with it doubt and fear and possibility and promise. We have to choose how we will face each one.
Recently my Dad went to his reward in heaven. He left this earth knowing where he would spend eternity. He left behind his wife of 63 yrs. She has never lived alone and yet she has faced this season with grace and dignity, knowing God has promised to never leave her or forsake her. (Heb 13:5)
I’ve often wondered what I would do when faced with this season of life. Watching my Mom has given me my answer. She has faced it one moment at a time. She lives by faith and not by feelings.  Although there are some moments harder than others, she has a foundation of joy and peace that support each one.
I am so proud of her! Once again, my parents are living their lives as an example for others to follow.

“God is our refuge. A very present help in time of trouble.” Psalm 46:1
